I have been fortunate enough to be a part of many conversations recently on social innovation and how we can help facilitate social innovation in remote Indigenous communities.  My organisation Dot Com Mob (www.dotcommob.org) is hoping that by providing appropriate technologies in remote communities will help Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders start innovating online and creating their own enterprises and creative outlets.  

I have just come across a fabulous visual representation of what social innovation on the new Indigenous Innovation Blog at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence  http://ncie.org.au/blog/indigenous-innovation/. The Gulbenkian Institute (Fundacao Calouste Gulbenkian) and SIX (Social Innovation Exchange) have come up with this visual introduction to social innovation as part of their Fix the Future program.
